Restraint
Fewer rooms, more care. Growth was never the point.

One hundred years of quiet hospitality in the heart of the Alps.
“We were never meant to be the grandest house in the valley — only the one that remembers you. The same fire each evening, the same faces at the door.”

Our Story

Four generations later, that same restraint guides every decision — from the granite of La Pierre Spa to rooms we would rather keep few, and keep well.
In 1926, a stonemason named Henri Aiguille laid the first foundations of what would become Alphaus — a single guesthouse built into the granite, facing the glacier his family had walked for generations.

Recognition
We have never chased attention. When it has found us, it has usually been for what we chose not to do.
Careers
Most of our staff arrived for a season and never quite left. We look for people who notice things — and who are happy that nothing here moves quickly.
